Heavy Metal Buffet leaves hungry metalhead disappointed

LERWICK – A famished hard rock and metal fan is still hungry after mistaking Shetland’s rock podcast for a restaurant.

Jamie Gifford, a heavy metal enthusiast from Tingwall, had no food in the fridge when he decided to Google ‘Shetland buffet’. In finding the Heavy Metal Buffet, a local hard rock podcast, he thought that he had found his dream restaurant, combining both of his key interests.

Instead, he got hours of music and speaking and remains hungry.

Mr Gifford said: “In between listening to Ten Tonne Dozer and getting neck surgery I try to find time to eat. I’m obviously disappointed that there is no heavy metal restaurant in Shetland. If anyone is reading this please send me food.”

The team behind Heavy Metal Buffet told Da Bonxie that Mr Gifford’s experiences had given them “food for thought” about opening a local place.
