GULBERWICK PARK – The manager of Orkney FC has been left red-faced after his pre-match “we have no Flaws” comment came back to haunt him.

The football team lined up against Shetland for a swift inter-county rematch at Lerwick’s Gilbertson Park on Saturday.

However, local libero Leighton ‘Beckenbauer’ Flaws popped up to score yet another hat-trick as Shetland beat their inter-county rivals 4-0.

Speaking after the game, the Orkney gaffer admitted that despite previously saying his team had no flaws, it seems everyone actually wants a bit of Flaws.

“We might have Ritch, Flett, Stout and Heddle, but we have no Flaws,” the coach said at the post-match press conference.

“And we’re still shite.”
